Newton City Hall 1000 Commonwealth Avenue| Rating: | BAD | | Hours: | Business hours | | Gender: | Old | | Fee: | Free | | Details: | | | Style: | | | Comments: | These ancient, marble walled bathrooms have a wonderful history that dates back to the late 1800's. Upon first inspection the beauty of the marble and tile are impressiveSpeaking only about the men's room, it was very old. It has some sort of old marble or imitation marble walls that are discolored. One of the toilets in the stalls was replaced, and the new toilet fixture does not affix to the floor correctly. Thus, the toilet was placed too far from the wall and is very close to the stall door. The other toilet looks like it is an original and still works properly. I was quite surprised to see such an ugly restroom in the city hall of one of the finest cities in the country. |
