However, in Florence the Uffizi's accommodations were good -- not fancy but clean. Also, some of the nicer hotels along the Fiume Arno had good good facilities. It was difficult to find a restroom when just wandering around the city. |

Definitely not the best part of an otherwise wonderful and beautiful city even in the rain. It was a shame that the only 'good' bathrooms we found were at a restaurant and probably at the McDonald's although we deliberately avoided this location in every other city. |

We were there in April 2002 and the stalls had a sink in them in addition to the sink outside the stalls. They were sparkling, had seats (which is a wonderful surprise in Italy) and it was great! |
