bathrooms in outside lhasa and xigatse, china
several| Rating: | BAD | | Hours: | 24hr | | Gender: | | | Fee: | free | | Details: | | | Style: | | | Comments: | Tibet has few public toilets outside bigger cities like Lhasa. If you find them, they are an real adventure to use. Usually, they consist of a concrete floor with holes in it, sometimes with separating walls and even less frequently doors. If you look down such hole, a living mass of fermenting *** is looking (and smelling!) back at you. We started to take pictures of this (because nobody would believe us) , but we got too disgusted to keep on doing this. Just run in, do your thing, and run out. Preferably within one breathe of air... Even some hotels in central Tibet have these 'toilets' (we stayed in one of the 'better' hotels of Xegar, which had an outhouse-style building with these holes) |
