Comments: Walking the trail to the top of Mount Emei in China which is a holy mountain for Buddists. Lots of people walking and it is possible to stay over night at several monasteries. Where we stayed was built on a cliff. I went to the toilet at night which was shared by all guests. I found the usual holes in the ground, like everywhere in China. I sat on my heels and did what I had to do but there where no sound coming back? The mystery got clarified the next morning. In the daylight we could see that the toilet department was built out from the cliff and you only found ground a 100 feet below the 'toilet.' It will take a few thousand years to fill it up.
