| Comments: | November 2002; My knees do not work as well as I wish they did; I squatted in the cubicle, and when ready to get up I couldn't, even though I was using the water pipe to pull myself up. I got down on one knee, arranged my pants and backed out; then I got up. The floor was dusty, dry; there was nobody else there to observe me, and I was glad. I was exhausted, but I could rinse my hands and face at the tap, and I was glad. I would go back to China; because the best thing that happened to me there far surpassed in importance this , the worst thing that happened. |
